few people know that alex proyas's 'dark city', a more mature, cerebral version of 'the matrix' in my opinion, is one of my favorite films. this site does a side by side image comparison of 'dark city' and 'the matrix' trying to show the similarities of the visuals. some are less that compelling, some are interesting. for the most part, i think the similarities are attributable to the dark noir look of both films.
